Buying beef directly from your rancher is the best way to do it. You might have some questions about this process or about our meat, and we are happy to help. We've listed some Frequently Asked Questions, but if you have other questions not found here, please email us. What type of cattle do you raise?We raise Red Angus and Red Angus/Simmental beef cattle.

What are the cattle fed?Our cattle are pasture raised and grain finished.

Where do you process your beef?We process at a USDA Inspected, small packing plant called Wyoming Ranch Foods in Torrington, WY.

What is the blend on your ground beef?Either 90/10 or 80/20. All of our ground beef patties are 80/20 blend.

How long can I keep my beef in my freezer?Beef sealed in Cryovac bags can be safely frozen for use up to 2-3 years. When the beef arrives to you it has been maintained frozen from the time of harvest.

How do you keep the meat cold when shipping?For UPS deliveries, we pack each box with dry ice and insulation to make sure the beef arrives cold. When we ship via Southwest Air or other airline cargo options, the airline keeps the boxes in their refrigerated coolers prior to its departure and upon its arrival until you are able to pick it up.

What does the date on the meat package mean?On each package of Flying Diamond Beef, there is a 'packaged' date. This is the date that the beef was packaged in the Cryovac packaging and frozen. Beef sealed in Cryovac bags can be safely frozen for use up to 2-3 years. When the beef arrives to you it has been maintained frozen from the time of harvest.
